I've been looking at these guitars for quite some time. Very nice, although I agree the pickups were the weak link. This guy does a nice job playing on this. I have always liked these since Eastwood started making them. Looks fantastic! Talk about a total "art deco" vibe.īTW: You can easily remove Eastwood off the truss cover or buy a blank. It came with the typical import model and since I had a Caddy G tailpiece laying around, (short Penguin version) I had my tech remove the "G" and the gold finish, then sent it out to be chromed. Like you, I found the stock pickups lacking and installed a set of Lollars - the results were better than expected. Those are good looking, the original one at Southside is a temptation as well.

#EASTWOOD AIRLINE GUITAR NECK PRO#
Much more affordable than an original Airline Pro too! Yikes! I think they look great! I've never played any of the Eastwood RI's but they all look great. I've been tempted by that guitar before.glad that it seems to have worked out so well for you! I think it looks very cool! 3 The only weakness i think is the P-90 pickups wich are a little bit harsh and too hot so I think I will replace them in time.Īny others tried or own this guitar? If so, What do u think of it? 2 It plays very well with it´s quite flat fretboard and the finish overall is flawless. Its resonant and twangy the way I like it and the setup was extremley well done, didn´t have to do anything. But I was lucky, it is a really good guitar. Bought this guitar the other day! I ordered it from the dealer so it was taking bit of a chance.
